What did I expect from Creative Mile – Brentford Art Trail?
To be honest, I was sceptical about events actually happening with everything we’ve gone through since March 2020. So pleased the sun shone, Covid didn’t raise its ugly head and the Brentford Art Trail was a huge success. It attracted a lot of local families around Chiswick, Brentford, Kew and Ealing. It was a great opportunity to meet and interact with my fellow artists.
I’m very grateful to all of you for your continued support. Special thanks to all who visited. It was so lovely to see familiar faces popping in throughout the day. It made me feel very loved. I met some people after a very long time, and some off Zoom for the first time too. I’m so pleased several floral paintings have found new homes.
I’m very thankful to my lovely host The Musical Museum. The show was supported by Ginette Kentish, General Manager and Noeleen O’Gorman who curated the show.
Not to worry if you missed this event. Next one is Ealing BEAT Saturday 11th to Sunday 12th 11am to 6pm. Come and see my lockdown blooms! I wilI be displaying floral paintings in oils and acrylics. The majority of the paintings were done during the past year. We had a glorious Spring when we went into lockdown. When we emerged out of lockdown it was Spring again. I have not referenced photos or images for these art works, rather, relied on memories from my walks. The Chiswick Flower Market run by Abundance London was so well attended. It was evident nature and flowers have such an influence on our wellbeing. You will see how my style and medium have changed due to the pandemic and lockdown. I am being hosted, along with Linda Ives who works with glass/stained glass, by DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Ealing. https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/lonecdi-doubletree-london-ealing
